Marvel Legends Domino review

Domino may seem like a version of Misty Knight in Fox's X-Men, but it's a good amalgamation since the Netflix Misty Knight doesn't have that sort of vibe that Domino displayed. I'm telling you, Marvel's live-action stuff is topsy turvy but it kinda works. IDK what else to say, but I did enjoy Domino in Deadpool 2 since she was pretty consistent overall than most of the movie's bitter-sweet attributes. Plus, with this figure being priced at 12 dollars, I couldn't miss out on it, and now let's see what awaits us for today's review!

Here is Domino in-hand, depicting her as she appeared in Deadpool 2. In terms of the figure's look to the figure, it captures the appearance of the character in the movie with no problem. The costume design is generally meant to look fairly subdued in appearance, and it makes sense given how the character is a mercenary; she'd definitely want to avoid being flashy. Her afro does help her stand out, and she's lucky to avoid having any issues that some Femme Fatales would experience. The skin tone on the figure looks natural without looking too much like plastic, even if there is very little skin to show.

Head sculpt looks accurate to Zazie Beetz, and I like how the lips, eyes, eyebrows, and the diamond face paint on her are applied well, but the afro might be a little too weird. It's not quite hair-like, and while there is some paint on it to make it more like hair, it's slightly translucent and looks like a pinecone for some reason. Certainly a mixed bag, and I think the afro from Misty Knight is better. Her articulation is the norm for female Marvel Legends figures, with a head that moves left and right and up and down on two ball joints for the neck, shoulders that move front and back, in and out, swivels and bends at the elbow, and wrists that swivel and hinge in and out. There is a diaphragm joint, hips that move front and back, in and out, thigh swivels, double-jointed knees, and feet that hinge up and down and pivot at the ankles.

And as for accessories, there are very few to acknowledge, but she has a regular pistol that goes on her holster or her alternate gun-holding hands, and two larger guns with silver paint and even knives attached to them. She even has an alternate head with goggles and a smirk! There's not much else to say about her, but I will say that she is a nice figure to own despite how lacking she is compared to some of the other Deadpool characters and the rest of the X-Men guys and gals. Like Mystique, she is on clearance in some shops, so you definitely have to get her in some places.
